The Yo-Yo Diet Syndrome by Doreen Virtue
Publisher Description
How wonderful would it feel to be able to break free from the pattern of yo-yo dieting forever?
Recent research suggests that 95 percent of dieters fail to keep the weight off and continually:
· Lose pounds on countless occasions but end up putting it (and more) back on
· Overeat due to stress, depression, boredom, and fatigue
· Constantly crave, or binge on, fat- and calorie-laden food
In this revised edition of her landmark book, Doreen Virtue shows you how you can keep the extra weight off—permanently! She presents a wealth of practical information that shows you how to heal your appetite and dieting issues, from the inside out.
This book is a must if you want to address the psychological, spiritual, and physiological causes of weight gain, and desire a simple and realistic method for shedding those excess pounds—for good!
My review
Book is a Christian approach to why you eat the way you eat. This is not the typical diet book. This is much more of a self help book about Why you eat the way you do then the typical approach other diet books take (eat this and exercise like this for X amount of time and you will loose X pounds).
Great approach.
4 out of 5 stars.

Perfect One-Dish Dinners by Pam Anderson
Awesome ideas (especially for entertaining). My favorite was the Spinach & artichoke dip recipe. Book contains recipes you would find at an upscale restaurant.
Cookbook contains 4 sections:
Stews
Casseroles
Roasting
Salads & grilled
1 con: Book needs to be available on Kindle. I like having my books available on Kindle especially my cookbooks. They travel easier!
FYI- This cook book is not for a new cook. Definitely a seasoned cook. A few recipes I had trouble with.

Tuscan Holiday by Holly Chamberlin
Product Description
When Elizabeth Caldwell planned a trip to Florence with her daughter, Marina, she secretly hoped for a warm, fuzzy bonding experience worthy of a Lifetime movie. But Marina - twenty-one, newly graduated, and close to her mum in many ways - has always been more the PBS type: dependable, practical, and completely in control. Elizabeth knows Marina wants to avoid the kind of 'stupid mistake' that left Elizabeth a single mother at twenty-two, and she's bitten her tongue as Marina settles for a wealthy fiance who gives. her everything she thinks she wants. After all, Elizabeth - unable to bring herself to fully commit to the man she has dated for years - is hardly an expert in romance.Still, a lot can happen on vacation, especially in Tuscany, where every scent borne on the warm breeze inspires delight, and every view makes the heart soar. There, on streets once walked by Dante and Michaelangelo, Marina is blindsided by a gorgeous Italian named Luca who shows her how gloriously unpredictable passion can be, and Elizabeth finally lets go of the role that has defined her for so long to embrace her own uncertain future...
My Review:
Typical Mother daughter story.
Mother (Elizabeth) knows what is best for daughter (Marina). Marina thinks her mother is wrong and did wrong in her own life. Marina discovers her mother was right all along and she should follow her heart not her head.
Both women discover something about themselves and about their relationship with each other. In time relationships between mother and daughter change and evolve into friendships. Both women discover that they can be friends.
Easy read. Great for vacation!
